Once up, I was ready to put my best energy and performance so the film could come out good.
My experience in working with Rod Veal in his short movie Breakfast with Ana. It was fun and exciting because I had never done any kind of acting in front of a camera. It was hard waking up early on a weekend to shoot the movie because it was Saturday morning and I would of preferred to sleep in haha. Yes the the title had breakfast so director Rod was very serious about shooting in the morning. Once up, I was ready to put my best energy and performance so the film could come out good.
My favorite part of the movie was walking in the room with the breakfast tray and bringing it to Rod. I thought that was funny and cute because the script was meant for me to be super happy, smiley and excited. Having the camera focus on me had me smiling but I had to focus on not over doing it too much.
My least favorite scene in the movie was throwing the cuties at Rod because I didn’t want to hurt him but Rod takes his job serious. He said I had to throw them at him. So I did and I hit him in the nose and hurt him so bad that we both started laughing. He said to try not to kill him. After practicing, I had to throw it and it didn’t matter how it landed. My other least favorite part was practicing a scene over and over. Whoa being director and actress is hard work.
Overall, I really had so much fun working with Rod because he is very professional with his work and wants scenes to come out good and believable to his audience. Which I know that’s what we both tried to give in the short movie.
